M.I.A got P.A.I.D!

M.I.A, not-so-tactfully, divulged the dollar amount which MTV paid her to perform at an after party for the 2008 MTV Music Awards. Towards the end of her 30 minute set, Maya Arulpragasam or songstress and Marc Jacobs Model: M.I.A, hopped on top of one of the many photobooths in the West Hollywood night club and proclaimed: "They’re giving me $100,000. Not bad, eh? I’m going to use it to build schools in Liberia. It costs $52,000 to build a school for 1,000.”

Immediately after the announcement, Arulpragasam delivered the moment that everyone was waiting for and invited several stars on stage for her final performance of the night : Paper Planes.
