THE BAKE SALE/WHEN FISH RIDE BICYCLES

The Cool Kids have announced the drop of their much anticipated sophomore EP, The Bake Sale via their new website! The EP will officially release May 20th this year and will feature the singles "Black Mags" and "88". I don’t know about you guys, but my bootleg copy of the unreleased mix tape Totally Flossed Out EP is just about on its last leg, I'm going to need a new copy soon. I don’t usually support the burning of quality made and produced music but when I heard Mickey and Chuck announce that they were in no hurry to release any form of album in an interview early last year, I got desperate. There has been some talk of a new mix tape due any day now, and the full length album being called "When Fish ride Bicycles" dropping May 20th, but The Cool Kids have yet to clarify. To hold you over - Here's a track from The Bake Sale. Mix tape or full length, this track is exactly what fans expected from the chi-town duo.

In related news: The Chicago sun-times leaked the lollapalooza 2008 lineup earlier this week. The lineup, which was later confirmed by the palooza, will arguably be the best lineup this fest has ever seen. Confirmed headliners include Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, the reunited Rage Against the Machine, Jack White’s side project the Raconteurs, Wilco, and Kanye West. Other must sees are: Gnarls Barkley, Broken Social Scene, G. Love & Special Sauce, Blues Traveler and Mates of State. And some first timers, which I'm most excited about, are: Bloc Party, Cat Power, Girl Talk, Kid Sister, the Cool Kids, the Go! Team, Jamie Lidell and Grizzly Bear!

Pre-sale tickets are on sale now for $190(3 day pass)and will soon be bumped up to $205. Cop them at www.lollapalooza.com
